Below you will find 3 pages of newspaper clippings from several years of Yellow Jacket Newspapers. The Yellow Jacket was the official newspaper at the Florida School for Boys. This is just the beginning, there are MANY more to come as time permits, so keep watching. Some articles may appear illegible when looking at the "thumbnails", but once you click to enlarge you should be able to see them more clearly. Please let us know if you find any errors. PLEASE NOTE: There is no prejudice implied when a photo mentions the "Colored Students" or "Colored Department. We are simply copying the words used during the 1950s and 1960s at the school when they referred to African American students. Since we are quoting the Newspaper, we kept the word. The school, of course, is now integrated. Thank God that times have changed -- at least as far as the prejudice that existed!
